The cottage has over twenty-mile views across the scenic north Aberdeenshire landscape overlooking Bennachie, Aberdeenshire's famous and iconic 518m hill. Walkers can enjoy stunning panoramas from Bennachie and many of the other local hills. Beautiful walks are available from The Sheep Bothy around the local hills and forests.
There is easy access to many areas of Aberdeenshire, the Grampian Mountains, Moray (and Moray coastline) and the Highlands with the A96 two miles away. Aberdeen Airport is 35 minutes to the south (on the same side of Aberdeen) and Inverness is 1 hour 30 minutes away. The local, rural towns of Insch (5 miles away) and Inverurie (12 miles away) are close by. Inverurie offers great restaurants and high street amenities. The towns are serviced by rail services between Edinburgh and Inverness.
We are perfectly placed for all types of activities - the horse-riding, mountain biking or cycling, skiing, golf, hill-walking, climbing and mountaineering, kayaking, surfing and many others. The Lecht 2090 ski resort is 1 hour away. Braemar, a great location for outdoor activities, is 1 hour and 25 minutes, and Aviemore is 1 hour 30 minutes away.

The Sheep Bothy is an original croft cottage situated on the south side of the beautiful Hill of Tillymorgan. The accommodation has been completely renovated and newly furnished in 2010 and provides two double/twin bedrooms, a lounge/dining room with woodburning stove, bathroom (white suite) with shower and bath.
The cottage has a large garden, offroad driveway for parking up to two cars and a large shed for bike storage.
