Details: Our beautifully restored, 200 year old farmer's cottage is situated on a mini estate in a secluded, elevated position with panoramic views of the picturesque, undulating Périgord Vert countryside. A tranquil and rural setting with a child friendly garden area leading immediately from the front and rear doors of the cottage. Uniquely we are able to offer guests the use of probably one of the largest private 'swimming pools' in the Dordogne. A totally pollution and chemical free swimming and fishing lake. The lake nestles in a sheltered location, just a short stroll from the cottage across our land and has a swimming pier and shaded areas for comfort on hot days. Watch the swallows feed in the early evening and keep an eye open for the kingfishers. Enjoy messing about in the boat. Try your luck with fishing for carp, roach and perch. A wonderfully tranquil, nature lover's environment. A real 'get away from it all ' location.
The accommodation is arranged on ground level in the traditional style of a centralised kitchen/living area. A back and front door lead to a garden and to 15 acres of land. All rooms lead off from the kitchen area. The master bedroom has a shower room en suite and there is an additional shower room. Three steps lead up to the twin-bedded room and, adjoining, a children's room, sleeping 4. The bathrooms have fan heaters for cooler days and the bedrooms, oil-filled radiators. In the kitchen/living area is a wood burning stove. Bed linen is provided and sets of towels can be hired.
Comfortable accommodation, newly restored to the highest standard, retaining the original features and using old materials wherever possible. Oak-beamed throughout with a stone fireplace, farmhouse doors, picture lights, ceiling fan and wood burning stove in the kitchenn/living area. All the bedrooms are wood-panelled with picture lights and ceiling fans. Each room has been tastefully decorated and furnished with an eye for detail, comfort and practicality.
Facilities include a fully fitted kitchen with all modern conveniences; dishwasher, washing machine, cooker/oven, microwave, fridge with freezing compartment and an additional freezer and fridge in the garage, audio tape player, cd, radio. Unlimited parking. Barbecue, garden furniture, sun loungers.

Rates / Pricing Information: Weekly rental rates start from £325 for two/three people during the months of September, October and November 2006. Maximum occupancy of the cottage is 8 people and we adjust the rates according to the number of people and the time of year. For the months of April, May and June 2007 our weekly rental rates start from £325 for 2/3 people. From 30th June to 27th July 2007 they start from £500. From 28th July to 31st August 2007 from £600. For this period we're offering a 10% reduction on a 2 week, or more, booking. From 31st August to mid November 2007 from £325.
