Details: Stay in an unspoilt hillside village in a recently renovated property. The property is situated on the border of the Creuse and the Haute Vienne in area renown for its lakes, rivers, forests, rolling hills and clean air. Ideal for people who enjoy walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching.
The accomodation comprises: two double bedrooms both with ensuite bath or shower facilities.The living has a double sofa bed.English T.V., Dvd, Cd player and wood burning stove.The dining kitchen is equipped with large gaz cooker,microwave,dishwasher,large fridge and a separate freezer.There is also a separate dining room which seats 6 comfortably and has a wood burning stove and retained an original bread oven.A washing machine is located in the utility room, an additional toilet in next to the utility rooom.Towels, bed linen,t-towels,hairdryers are also provided.
There is a garden and a terrace which is shared with our smaller gite but which is screened off fro privacy
Lake Vassiviere is 20 minutes away offering 45kms of shoreline, beaches, bars and restaurants. Limoges is 50 minutes away and is famed for its porcelain and enamel work and the city centre offers numerous museums, a 13th Century Butchers Quarter, botanical gardens and micro-brewery complete with bar and pavement side tables so you can sit and watch the world go by.
Others places of interest include the medieval town of St.Leonard de Noblat with its 11th Century church, a fine example of Romanesque architecture and half timbered houses.
Aubusson, famous for its tapestry making and has both permanent and temporary exhibitions of work dating from the 15th Century to the present day.
La Souteraine, a lively market town and pilgrims halt on the way to St.Jacques de Compostelle.
