2 Bed Stone cottage, situated in a hamlet under the commune of Sabadel Lauzes. with large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen to provide comfortable accommodation of up to 4 people. Upstairs, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, shower room and toilet. Bed linen and towels provided.
It is situated in a Parc Natural and easy reach to all tourist attractions. This cottage is situated approx mid way between the towns of Cahors (the capital of the Lot) and Figeac.
The Mid-Pyrenees region:
The area is crossed by several rivers (Célé, Lot, Aveyron and Tarn) which have gourged their way through the land carving deep, lush valleys with high rocky walls in contrast to the dryer, stony causes and these rivers are a focus for those wanting to canoe, kayak or swim. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and beautiful. From a personal point of view, we think you would be hard pushed to find an area prettier than the Célé and the Lot valleys, south of Lacapelette, ideal area for walking, cycling and canoeing. Cycles may be hired near Bouziés. Also various fishing local areas, ideal area for bird watching.
For those who may want to combine their holiday with some skiing , only 2 hours away is the ski resort at Le Lioran (Aubergne region).
There is something here for everyone. Fascinating countryside, nearby vineyards for which Cahors is famous for their wines. There are plenty of famous tourist attractions, always popular with visitors is hilltop and cliffside towns of St Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour and Cordes sur Ciel, Cahors and Figeac, all worth a visit. For those interested in prehistoric caves, worth a visit to Grotte des Merveilles or Pech-Merle. River trips along river lot, Bouziés to St Cirq Lapopie.
Climate: Summer days can be hot, though the average maximum temperature is 25 to 30 degrees. Evenings tend to be pleasantly warm. Spring and Autumn are generally long and sunny.
