Chalet De Pierre is situated in the village of Linazay in the department of Vienne in the Poitou Charente Region. This area is renowned for its Micro Climate and is the second hottest region in France. The Gite is called Maison Pierre and is a modern building but still in the traditional French style. It is for 3-5 persons with a large covered veranda and barbeque. It is set in an acre of land and is fully enclosed and secure for children or dogs. There is an orchard in the grounds and you are free to pick seasonal fruits when available.
The gite has one double bedroom, one single bedroom, Lounge with air conditioning unit, wood burner, crystal chandelier and double sofa bed, Kitchen diner, shower room and utility/cave.
The kitchen is fully equipped and bedding is provided. Towels are not provided.
The driveway and veranda are serviced with an automated lighting system so you are never left in the dark. There is an electronic safe available for your valuables should you request.
A set amount of timber is provided for the wood burner and more can be purchased if required.
Airports servicing the area are: Poitiers, La Rochelle and Limoges and Fly/Drive is available at all of them.
The nearest Ferry Port is St. Malo which is approx. a 4 hour drive.
Some of the local attractions are: Vallee des Singes (valley of monkeys) this is a very interesting place with a large variety of monkeys including Gorillas and Chimpanzees. There are no fences or cages and you see the monkeys as they would be in their natural environment (a bit like Jurassic Park but safer !!). www.la-vallee-des-singes.fr

£200.00 per week
A non refundable deposit of 25% is required before any booking can be confirmed. Upon arrival a security deposit of £100.00 is to be paid and will be returned at the end of your stay.
The remaining balance to be paid in full two weeks before arrival. Please be aware we do not take credit or debit cards. Payment to be made by cheque. Euros can be accepted upon arrival only by prior agreement.
