Holiday Destination Information for
Details: Newly renovated, decorated and furnished with style this appealing 1-bedroom town house is ideally located in the heart of Olonzac, the 'capital' of the Minervois wine-growing region. If you want to experience the French 'art de vivre' and would just like to be able to walk out to do your shopping, have a coffee or a glass of wine, and eat in the local restaurants, then this could be just the place to stay.
FREE Wifi Internet access available from March 2011.
Stepping inside the house it is light and pleasant. It retains a number of period features not least of which is a spectacular centre piece - a period staircase. The house comprises a generous kitchen/dining area, a light and airy sitting room, a double bedroom, a shower room and last, but not least, a small, charming private roof terrace.
During the day you can enjoy the small town's bustling centre especially on a Tuesday morning (market day!), when the market stretches into the street where the house is located. You can also stroll in the pleasant park where there's a pond, a boulodrome and tennis courts.
Olonzac is a 45-minute drive from Carcassonne and about 35-40 minutes from Narbonne and Beziers so is ideally placed for exploring this lovely region.
Less than 2kms away at Homps you'll find the Canal du Midi offering lots of opportunities for walking, cycling or a boat trip as well as relaxing with a drink in one of the many cafes watching the passing boats.

A great couple of weeks in Olonzac. House all we hoped for, very comfortable. Great shower & liked the roof terrace-very nice sitting up there with a glass of wine in the evening. Olonzac is a lively place for it's size & has all the facilities you need for a holiday and the 'Bel' is very good.

Wonderful base for exploring the delights of the area. We visited Carcassonne, Lagrasse, Narbonne, Pont du Gard and many more places. A drive to the Monts de l'Espinouse was Lovely. Great house with everything you could wish for.

We had a fantastic holiday. The house was perfect, very well equipped and great position to explore the local area! The Bel restaurant was excellent as well as the Auberge de St. Martin( a few mins away in Beaufort) – both highly recommended. We especially loved the Tuesday morning market and filled the fridge with delicious goodies! – Bon Vacances!
