Le Castel is a stunning Napoleon III chateau set in four acres of parkland near Coutances in Normandy, France. It is ideally located for visiting top tourist sights like Mont St Michel, Bayeux and the D-Day Beaches. Le Castel is just 20 minutes from the beautiful beach at Montmartin sur Mer. There are six bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Two rooms on the top floor form a very private suite for a family or two couples. There is also a two bed gite in the grounds with two bathrooms

Details: Le Castel is an exclusive 1870's petit chateau in Normandy's Manche region, featuring just six guest rooms. There is also a two bedroomed gite in the grounds with a 4.5m diametre splash pool
The chateau is in a stunning location, set amongst four acres of secluded parkland garden and overlooking rolling countryside.
The house is furnished in period style throughout, and offers an elegant yet relaxing atmosphere for an enjoyable chateau break.
The focus of the ground floor is the white baby grand piano, which is complemented by imposing stone fireplaces and crystal chandeliers. Double French doors lead out onto a sunny terrace overlooking the beautiful south facing lawn and rolling farmland.
The six guest rooms (Napoleon, Josephine, Marie-Antoinette, Louis, Dauphin and Jeanne d'Arc) are all individually furnished with antique bedroom suites.
The rooms have tall French windows with working shutters, and three of the rooms have open fireplaces.
All rooms have ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms with natural light. The baths enjoy fantastic views over the gardens, perfect for long relaxing soak.
Accommodation is on a B&B basis, but evening 'table d'hote' (host's table) meals are also available - served by candlelight at the large walnut dining table, or out on the terrace in summer.
Le Castel is close to the pretty hill-top cathedral town of Coutances. Most of the other main tourist sights of Normandy are also easily reached including Mont St Michel, Bayeaux, and the D-Day beaches. We are just 20 minutes from Normandy's beautiful Atlantic coast with its wide sandy beaches and pretty seaside towns.
Le Castel is surrounded by beautiful countryside making it a perfect base for walking, cycling and many other outdoor pursuits.
The two bedroomed gite has been created out of a 17th century cottage. There is a twin room and a double room with an ensuite shower room. There is a family bathroom, lounge with sofa bed and a large dinning kitchen with a 5metre high atrium. There is also a laundry room.

Rates / Pricing Information: Ask about our 'three-nights-for-two' midweek offer (available October to Marchil). Or four nights for the price of three over weekends in winter.
Prices (based on two sharing) start from 55 euros per person per night for a double or twin room with ensuite shower room, and 60 euros per person per night for a double room with ensuite bathroom.
Special rates available for groups wishing to have exclusive hire of Le Castel, or for stays of 7nts or more. Please ask for details.
Evening meals are 30 euros, including four courses and coffee.
The luxury and stylish two bedroomed gite, which sleeps up to six, is from 450 euro a week. Long term rates available.
