Details: La Fermette is an immaculate detached farmhouse gite, set on the slopes of the highest point in the Midi-Pyrenean département of Tarn et Garonne surrounded by a patchwork of woodland, sunflowers, fruit trees and vines.
We offer evening meals on your terrace or by the pool on request. Sample menus will be provided and dietary requirements catered for wherever possible.
We are just 5 km from Junction 59 of the A20 motorway, 550 miles from Calais. For those of you familiar with the area, the route has vastly improved since the opening of the Cahors section of the A20 during 2003. The closest airport is Toulouse (around 45 minutes) being served by a number of the budget airlines and of course, most of the major European ones. Many of the international car hire companies have an office at the airport and we would be happy to obtain quotations on your behalf. Catusse-Haut is in a rural location and therefore a car is essential. The nearest neighbour is around 400 yards away, across a field, so your privacy is ensured.
The 10m x 5m pool is open from May to September and has wonderful panoramic views. We have a badminton net and racquets may be borrowed or try your hand at ‘petanque’ on our boule court – boules provided.
We have 360 degree views over a patchwork of fertile fields, vines and fruit trees – fantastic for artists. The village of Montpezat de Quercy, with two bars, two restaurants, bakeries, charcuterie and a selection of supermarkets and shops, is just 2km away. The village is lit each evening and provides a wonderful backdrop after the sun has gone down. Throughout the summer, crops of sunflowers, vines, fruit trees, wheat and corn provide an enchanting setting for a relaxing holiday.
The TV receives all BBC and ITV channels.
La Grange (sleeps 4) is completely detached from La Fermette but shares use of the pool.
