Situated on the hills overlooking Algar de Palancia, this chalet has stunning 360 degree views. It is within an urbanisation but set quietly apart, with the local village only 1 mile away.
The house has 3 double bedrooms, bathroom and an open plan lounge diner. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. In the lounge, there is an open fire as well as a heating/air conditioning unit and satellite TV with DVD and CD player.
The garden is extensive and mainly patio, with offstreet parking. There is a terrace immediately outside the living room with dining area, and the 10 metre pool has further terraces with seating and a barbecue area. There are impressive views of the Sierra Calderona from every point.
The village of Algar de Palancia has 3 bars, all of which allow you to book a table for the evening, take along your OWN FOOD and just order drinks and olives . With a family, this is a godsend as you can eat out, soak up the atmosphere all for 10 euros! By the way, wine in a restaurant ranges from 3 to 5 euros a bottle and coffees normally 1 euro. There are several bakeries, a butchers, bank and 2 grocery shops
This chalet for up to 7( with a fold up bed available) offers holiday accommodation with privacy, tranquility and stunning views, but it is within easy reach of Valencia city( 30 mins), the beach and Sagunto castle( 20 mins), not forgetting the beautiful traditional villages of the surrounding area Within 5 minutes is the picturesque hillside church at Sot de Ferrer and within 15 minutes is the impressive waterfall and rock formations at Navajas where free open air concerts are held every Saturday night through July and August - a must!
Jerica, 20 minutes away, is a moorish village with winding streets that lead you up to a beautiful moorish tower, a breathtaking sight from the approach road. . Further inland, you may like to visit Teruel or go skiing in Valdilinares( both 1 hour from Algar). I could go on, but you really need to come and see the place for yourself - the Costas, this is not!
