The Aux Mêmes mobile home is situated on the edge our campsite with magnificent views of the Pyrenees and surrounding countryside.
There are 2 bedrooms: 1 double room with a double bed, 1 triple room with 2 singles and a bunk bed.
There is a shower room, a living room/dining room with gas fire and attached kitchen, in fact everything you would expect in a modern mobile home.
Outside there is garden furniture and a BBQ.
There is mains electricity, a gas fire, hot water, shower and a flush toilet. The kitchen has a full gas hob, oven, and a fridge/freezer.
In the living room there is a TV, DVD player, radio and CD player.
Prices include all services and bed linen.
We have a 12m x 6m swimming pool, a children's play area, volleyball, cycle track and cycle hire. There is also a terrace bar/cafe with internet access and wi-fi and disabled facilities in the main building. We hire DVDs and have a library of novels for you to swap books.
Nearby there are tennis courts, golf course, horse riding, water sports including fishing, canoeing,kayaking, wind surfing and sailing.
Aux Mêmes, once a typical Gascony farm, lies near the village of Bellegarde Adoulins in the Department of the Gers. The Gers is one of the eight Departments of the Midi-Pyrenees which is just south of the Dordogne . The hill-top farmhouses, mobilehome and campsite all have views of the Pyrenees and surrounding countryside and are set in 10 hectares (22 acres) of rolling farmland. Most of the land at Aux Mêmes is still farmed today, the rest being made up of several woods and a small vineyard.
The Gers, part of Gascony, is one of the most attractive and unspoilt parts of France, if not of Europe. The Gascony region is among the lesser-populated, largely rural areas of France. The thriving local economy is substantially derived from agricultural and artisan's enterprise. World famous examples of the latter being producers of Paté de foie gras, wine and Armagnac. As there has never been any large-scale industrial developments in the region, it has remained environmentally intact. With its picturesque hills, dense oak woods and hedged fields, the Gers is one of the few remaining regions where the eco-system remains balanced and the atmosphere unpolluted. Due to its special local climate, there are many pristine bathing resorts and spas to offer, including the internationally renowned Barbotan-les-Thermes health spa in the Armagnac region, in the north west of the Department.
Situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean it enjoys a mild stable climate with plenty of sunshine. Large Palm trees grow in many gardens and snow in winter is rare. The mountains are very close and Aux Memes offers direct view to the Pyrenees.
Gascony has a very ancient cultural history and even the Romans appreciated its mild climate. In the thirteenth century, Auch, its capital, reigned entirely over France. D'Artagnan, the leader of the Four Musketeers is the most famous historic figure of this region. The cathedral of Auch is one of the most impressive cathedrals in the whole country.
The historically interesting Auch, with its impressive, ancient architecture, is the official residence of the Department of the Gers. It has 25,000 inhabitants, a small airport and two golf courses. The city of Toulouse, with its international airport, its shopping centres and its old, traditional University, can be reached in just over an hour by car. Lourdes is only 90 km away and both the Atlantic Ocean (the dunes of Arcachon, Biarritz) and the Mediterranean Sea (Sete, Narbonne, and Perpignan) is 200 km in distance. The Pyrenees are also very close and in a little over an hours travelling you can find the most wonderful skiing slopes and plenty of walking, climbing and "Tour de France" cycling.
