Details: Alouette is a charming old farmhouse situated in a courtyard on the edge of a tiny hamlet, surrounded by sunflowers and vineyards, yet close to all amenities and the cultural centres of Angouleme and famous Cognac.
Alouette has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 3 single beds, sleeping a maximum of 5 in total.
It has its' own gated courtyard with private parking, garden furniture and BBQ.
Access to the 1.5 acre garden and heated 11x7m pool (shared) is via a gate in the corner of the courtyard.
Activities/sights are too numerous to list but a few tasters are :-
PLAN D'EAU : 40 hectares of water with fishing, boating, wind-surfing and swimming. Large parks with areas for picnics etc. It is on the outskirts of Angoulême, 20 mins away.
ANGOULEME, the capital of Charente is steeped in history/culture and has many restaurants for that 'al fresco' meal. It is also the International centre of Comic Strip, and there is an annual gathering of artists annually who gather here.
For classic car enthusiasts, the 'Circuit des Ramparts' is an annual event where classic cars gather and race round the ramparts of the city.
For eating out, there are many restaurants in our area, providing 3 course luches with wine for around 12€.
For market lovers, you are spoilt for choice : Riberac, Brantome, Angouleme, Chalais to name justa few.

 is well worth a day out. Each truck seats 5 and you pedal a length of 7.5k to the station, where you have a seated picnic whilst the trucks are turned round for the homeward journey. A super activity and fun as well. ')){kind=tracking}
