The mill is surrounded by 5 acres of land, including a large terrace and a large 'island' style garden. The mill is situated on the River Arberoue in wonderfully peaceful countryside just outside the village of La Bastide Clairence, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France, yet only 10 minutes from the A64 motorway and 30 minutes from the centre of Biarritz and its famous surf beaches. Also nearby are the beautiful towns of Pau, Bayonne, St. Jean de Luz, St. Jean Pied de Port and just across the Spanish border, San Sebastian and Bilbao.
