Cetona is featured in the book "The Most Beautiful Villagesin Tuscany " . It is a typical "hill town'" with streets circling the hill up to the central "Fortezza". The village and its surroundings ( Monte Cetona ) covered in Olives and grape vines are extremely beautiful. There are a number of good restuarants within walking distance to the nearby Piazza. A weekly market is held in the piazza on Saturday mornings. Lago Trasimeno, a large Lake with islands, is 30 minutes away, as are several famous thermal spas ( San Casciano dei Bagni "Fonte Verdi" ect ). Florence, Seina, Perugia and Assisi are easily reached. Rome is an hour and ten minutes away by fast Inter City Trian from nearby Chiusi. The A 1 Autostrada is 15 minutes away. We are above the Val di Chiana and close to Montepulciano and the Val di Orcia. Periods Available Weekly Rates / Pricing Information: Reductions for more than one week.
