Full Description of Holiday Rental Property: The house is in the village of Polopos in beautiful wild hilly countryside. Polopos is a small village in the Alpujarras region of Andalucia, South from Granada. The village is set on 800m high hills about 6 miles from the sea (on a good winding road). As it is so high up, there are spectacular sea views, (on some exceptionally clear days in winter you can see the African coast), and there are massive hills, deep valleys, olive and almond trees, orange and lemon trees, vines and goats. You can walk over the hills down to the sea in about one and a half hours. If you enjoy country walking, you can find 4 walks around Polopos described with photos on www.walkingworld.com (walks 4692-4695).
The house is a restored traditional cottage-style house with wooden beams and terracotta tiled floors. It has three rooms and a shower room downstairs and and two rooms upstairs one of which opens onto a terrace about 12 foot square with a bamboo sunscreen and a panoramic view of the hills and sea.It has all basic amenities, and is furnished very simply, not luxuriously, with comfortable cane chairs and sofa and in a local style. It is perhaps more suitable for younger people (steep stairs going upstairs.). The kitchen is traditional, not modernised, with a granite worktop. No TV. There is an atmosphere of peace and quiet.
