Full Description of Holiday Rental Property: Moulin de Pierretoune is a charming Basque-style watermill built in 1550. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles and 1 twin, a large living/dining room with open fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. The mill is surrounded by 5 acres of land, including a large terrace and a large 'island' style garden. The mill is situated on the River Arberoue in wonderfully peaceful countryside just outside the village of La Bastide Clairence, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France, yet only 10 minutes from the A64 motorway and 30 minutes from the centre of Biarritz and its famous surf beaches. Also nearby are the beautiful towns of Pau, Bayonne, St. Jean de Luz, St. Jean Pied de Port and just across the Spanish border, San Sebastian and Bilbao.

How to get here: Take Exit 4 URT on the A64 motorway near Bayonne. Take all signs for La Bastide Clairence. Drive through the centre of the village, straight on up past the church, following the sign for Quartier Pessarou. 4 or 5 minutes out of the village, you will reach 'Pessarou'. At the bottom of the valley, go over a small bridge and then turn in left at Chalets de Pierretoun- the mill is at the end of the lane, past the lamas!!!
