Full Description of Holiday Rental Property: Chateau de Senescau is a 16th/17th Century house set in 25 acres with T-shaped swimming pool (with stunning views); offering 4 comfortable self-catering gites for 2, 4, 8 or 8 people. It is situated in a superb position with panoramic views towards the Pyrenees. Originally the home of noblemen the house played an important part in the village of Termes d'Armagnac where the tower of an ancient castle still remains with its museum (Musee du Panache Gascon), which is well worth a visit. There are excellent facilities for families and couples alike, including gardens, shaded walkways, woodland and meadow. Enjoy the large swimming pool with stunning views, boule pitch, table tennis, children's play area and small football pitch.
Discover the local markets, festivals and cuisine or visit Toulouse, Bordeaux, Auch, Pau, Andorra, Lourdes, Biarritz, the Pyrenees and Spain. It's an ideal base for walking, cycling, bird watching, wildlife, etc.
La Cuisine de Campagne offers impressive accommodation sleeping up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. The very large country kitchen/lounge/diner has gorgeous views looking across the swimming pool towards the Adour river valley and the Pyrenees. The farmhouse table provides seating for 8 with kitchen facilities including oven/spit/grill, large 5-ring gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge area has comfortable seating with TV and DVD.
The hallway leads to a wide wooden staircase, which, through double doors, open onto a huge landing with 4 bedrooms. (2 have double beds, 2 have twin beds) Shower room 1 has shower, washbasin and WC; shower room 2 has shower and washbasin and separate WC.
La Maison de Maitre (Master’s House) is an impressive building with 4 bedroms that stands in front of you as you enter the tree lined driveway to Chateau de Senescau. On entering the large wooden doors the hallway leads to a lovely lounge/dining room with curved walls, high ceilings and large windows that look out across the Adour river Valley towards the Pyrenees. The lounge area has comfortable seating for 8 and the dining area has a long marble and wood table for 8 - great for lingering meals. Also leading from the large hallway is a double bedroom, WC/shower room and a kitchen with breakfast bar, oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, there is also a washing machine available.
On the first floor, the landing leads to double doors that open onto a balcony offering tremendous views. The large bathroom has a double sink, bath, WC and shower cubicle, there are 2 twin bedrooms with views across the neighbouring vineyard and a double bedroom with views across the valley to the south.
Outside there is a private area (again with great views) with table, chairs and Bar-b-que. The pool is approximately 50m away, close enough for easy access but offering a bit of privacy too!
La Vieille Tour is the oldest part of the house. It is full of character and large windows offer amazing views towards the Pyrenees. The kitchen/lounge/diner is well equipped and very comfortable. It has an oven/spit/grill, hob, fridge etc and washing and drying facilities are available close by.
On the first floor are 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 1 with 2 singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower and WC.
Outside is a private terrace complete with table, chairs and BBQ; the swimming pool is just a few steps away!
Le Vignoble is light and airy and has recently been totally refurbished. It is all on one floor and has a lounge/kitchen/diner equipped with oven/spit/grill, hob, fridge etc, washing and drying facilities are available nearby. The bedroom with twin beds is very comfortable and the bathroom has a large corner bath, shower and WC.
The views are of the neighbouring vineyard and extend to the countryside around which is truly lovely.
Outside is a private terrace with table, chairs and a BBQ and access to the swimming pool.

How to get here: Chateau de Senescau is in the village of Termes d'Armagnac in the heart of Gascony, almost at the centre of a line is drawn between Toulouse and Biarritz.
We are at the western border of the region of Midi-Pyrenees, where it meets the Aquitaine region. This is also where our departement of Gers (32) meets that of Landes (40).
There are several airports within reach including Pau, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Biarritz. Alternatively road access is good
