Full Description of Holiday Rental Property: L,ELZET (seen here from the East view) is a delightful, converted chateau-style Mas (country house), a haven with 4 gites to rent, all or individually, short or long term, looking over stunning panoramic views. It has 35 acres of terraced woodland with many beautiful vistas. There is a garden & 16ft pool. Nearby the crystal clear river Gardon has rockpool diving and fishing with “beachy” areas for sunbathing & paddling. the beautiful oasis of La Cascade and petit canyon swimming is less than 10mins drive and on-site reknowned friendly English/French owner hospitality.
It borders the magnificent Cevennes National Park, and is close to St Jean du Gard with it's steam railway, Cevenolle museum, and twice a week marvelous colourful markets. There is also an adult and children's challenging woodland adventure park not far (www.parcparfumaventure.fr) The Cevennes, with it's rugged beauty, thrilling mountain ridges and beautiful limestone caves, is designated an area of outstanding beauty and is renowned throughout Europe for it's geology, unique botanical specimens, butterflies and wildlife. St. Etienne Vallée Française is like stepping back 25 yrs, and has the typical local shops such as the butcher, baker, village general store, a good bar-restaurant, and other restaurants in the vicinity, tennis, Equestrian Centre with horse & donkey riding excursions.
