Full Description of Holiday Rental Property: The villa, situated in a residential district, far from traffic and noise, at the same time is only km 1,5 far from the wonderful resorts of Santa Caterina and Porto Selvaggio, km.15 from Gallipoli, Km 22 from Lecce and km 30 from the nearest golf course. It is made up of a living room (2 sleeps - as the house has 2 entrances, the living room can become a fourth independent bedroom), three bedrooms (8 sleeps, air-conditioning, mosquito nets), dining kitchen, 2 bathrooms with showers, and is surrounded by a large shadowed garden (sqm 400.00), equipped with tables, chairs, sun beds, table football, 2 outside showers (one hot-cold), barbecue. The furniture is complete, the kitchen is equipped in the smallest details, e.g. microwave, toaster, mixer, coffee grinder. There are also two tvcolor, a cd player, a DVD player, hairdryer, iron and iron board, washing machine. From € 400 to € 2000/week - no charge for water and gas - electricity according to consumption -linen on call-caution money for damage from € 200, for final cleaning from € 70.
The area offers a real possibility of enjoying a wonderful holiday. the house is near Santa Caterina di Narḍ, the smartest and most exclusive resort on the Ionian coast. The coastline is an alternation of low rocks, small sand shores, peeble shores and long beaches. The sea is low and warm near the beaches, it's blue, cristalline and deep near the rocky coast, the ideal sea for scuba diving.
It is a paradise for people of all ages and all pockets, as the coast is mostly open to free bathing, though there are many bathing establishments. Next to Santa Caterina There is Posto Selvaggio, a natural reserve containing a large pine wood along the sea and a small splendid cove which can be reached only walking down through the wood or from the sea. In the same area pre-historic remains can be found, the most important are in the Uluzzo Bay, which has given the name to the Uluzzian period in The upper Paleolithic.
Narḍ is an ancient town of 31,000 inhabitants, very rich in churches, palaces and historical buildings of different architectural periods, especially baroque. It's also a modern town, with all that can be needed in the different fields (refined shops, exclusive boutiques, supermarkets, discounts, cinema, theatre, pharmacies, hospital, post offices, etc.).
Another important sea resort is Gallipoli, km 16 far. The summer is the season of festivals and concerts, besides the many discos, restaurants, pubs and pizza houses which offer a large range of amusement possibilities.
Nights are characterized by a warm climate (we have had no one day of rain in the summer 2008) which allows all activities in the open air, such as discos, restaurants, pizza houses, Karaoke. Every evening you can choose among the various offers: sagras of wine and local foods, celebrations of Saints with symphonic music, corners in town and near the sea where Pizzica (an ancient very sensual dance typical of the area) is danced by folk groups and passers-by.
Very important are the celebrations of the "Taranta Nights”, in which ancient rites evoke the spell caused by spyder bites, during which people affected by Tarantism danced frantically under a trance.
Classical and modern drama and ballet are performed in the theatres in Narḍ, Gallipoli and Lecce
The head town in the county is Lecce, worldwide known for its cultural life and for its baroque. In the wonderful historical centre are situated shops and boutiques among the most elegant in Southern Italy. In the night it is enlivened by a pleasant movida.

How to get here: - by motorway to Lecce- follow directions to Gallipoli - first exit to Narḍ - meeting at the first traffic lights - the owner will take you for 3 kms to the villa
- by train to lecce - meeting at lecce Station - The owner will take you for 25 kms to the villa
- by air to Brindisi - hiring a car at the airport is recommended - from there by motorway to lecce- follow directions to Gallipoli - first exit to Narḍ - meeting at the first traffic lights - the owner will take you for 3 kms to the villa the keys can be collected at your arrival directly by the owner, who will also explain you how the management of the villa works.the arrival is allowed AFTER 5pm (some change of the time can be agreed upon with the owner) - at the end of the period the villa must be left WITHIN 10am
