Full Description of Holiday Rental Property: Would you like to stay among hills, valleys, lakes and woodlands in the beautiful natural Morvan Park in Burgundy France, yet only be a short drive away from bustling towns and lively cities?
Stay in our beautiful gîte and have nature, culture and traditional wine makers on your doorstep.
Burgundy is famous for it’s wonderful wines, you can go to one of the regions many vineyards ,have a guided tour and then take part in the wine tasting.
If it’s history that you are after, then visit the old Roman town of Autun, where you can still see part of the ancient roman walls standing .
Visiting Dijon is a must, stroll through its pedestrianised streets and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful historic town.
Visit the Traditional French Markets held weekly in most towns and villages in the area
Weekly markets in are held Chateau Chinon, Corbigny, Autun,
Moulins-Engilbert, the bath town of St. Honore-les-Bains.
The whole region is ideal for fishing, walking, bird watching and horse riding.

Churches, Châteaux and architecture, including a visit
to Vezeley and the Basilica of St. Madelene, a UNESCO site.

Our newly created gîte just minutes away from Lac Panneciere has two double bedrooms,
one with king-size bed and one with twin beds.
There is also a sofa bed available for a 5th person, plus we have facilities for babies.

How to get here: The Natural Park of Morvan is best reached by car. The roads are good and traffic is normally light.
From Calais, the most convenient route is made up of the A16, A26, A1, A3, then
the Boulevard Peripherique round Paris from Port Bagnolet to just after Port D'Italy where
the A6b to be taken leading onto the A6.
Along the A6 there is a choice of routes.
Vaux lies 11kms North of Chateau Chinon along the Nevers to Autun road, D978.
One choice is to take the A6 only to the A77 road to Nevers where the D978 is joined
in the direction of Autun. At Chateau Chinon turning left at the 'T' junction and taking
the D944 to La Pige a sharp right turn onto the D161 will take you to Vaux and to our Gîte.
Alternatively, you may stay on the A6 until Availlon where you can take the D944 and follow
this twisting road to La Pige where a left turn will take you unto the D161, Vaux and the Gîte.
This is the 'scenic route' for day travel only.
